Terms of Use
Effective September 18, 2026
This site lets you apply and pay for a parking permit from Delavan-Darien School District (the “Organization”). It runs on PlatePermit, software provided by Luma Tech Digital (“PlatePermit”). By using this site you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site; you may instead contact the Organization's parking office about applying in person.
1. Who does what
- The Organization sets the permit rules, prices, required documents, and parking regulations; decides whether to approve, deny, or revoke a permit; receives your payment; and enforces parking.
- PlatePermit provides the software only. PlatePermit does not issue permits, make approval decisions, set prices, receive your permit fee, own or operate any parking facility, or issue citations or tow vehicles.
2. Your application
- You must provide accurate, current information and only documents that are genuine and that you have the right to submit. You must keep your plate and documents up to date.
- False or altered information or documents may result in denial or revocation without refund, and any other action the Organization's rules allow.
- If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.
- The private link to your application works like a password. Keep it to yourself; anyone with the link can view your application status and upload documents to it.
3. What a permit is — and is not
- Your license plate is your permit. A permit is valid only for the plate(s), lot, and term shown, and only while it is active.
- A permit is permission to park where the Organization allows. It does not guarantee that a space will be available, and it is not a bailment or a promise to guard your vehicle.
- You must still follow the Organization's parking rules and all posted signs. Citations, fines, booting, and towing are decided and carried out by the Organization or its enforcement personnel, not by PlatePermit.
- Parking is at your own risk. Neither the Organization (to the extent its policies and the law allow) nor PlatePermit is responsible for theft, damage, or loss involving your vehicle or its contents.
4. Payments and refunds
- Payment is requested only after your application is approved. Card payments are processed by Stripe and are paid directly to the Organization, which is the merchant for your purchase. PlatePermit never holds your money and never sees your card number.
- If shown at checkout, a card processing fee is added to cover the cost of card acceptance. You may avoid it by paying the Organization directly by cash or check.
- Because you pay only after approval, a denied application is never charged. If a paid permit is revoked or surrendered, any refund is decided by the Organization under its refund policy. Refund requests and billing questions go to the Organization's parking office. Please contact the office before disputing a charge with your bank.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site: no attempts to access other people's information, probe or bypass security, overload or disrupt the service, upload malicious files, or use automated tools to submit applications. We may block access to protect the service and its users.
6. Service availability
We work to keep the site available and accurate, but it is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The site may be interrupted, delayed, or contain errors. If the site is unavailable, contact the Organization's parking office — an outage does not extend deadlines or excuse parking without a valid permit unless the Organization says so.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Luma Tech Digital, its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any parking citation, fine, towing or impound cost, vehicle damage or theft, lost time, or lost data, arising from or related to this site or your permit. Luma Tech Digital's total liability for any claim related to this site will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the permit at issue or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits the Organization's own obligations to you under its policies or the law.
8. Disputes
Disputes about a permit decision, a citation or tow, a price, or a refund are between you and the Organization and are handled under the Organization's own policies and procedures. Any claim against Luma Tech Digital about the software itself is governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and must be brought in the state or federal courts located there. Any such claim must be brought within one year after it arises, to the extent the law permits.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms; the effective date above will change, and new applications will be asked to agree to the current version. Questions about your permit go to the Organization's parking office. Questions about the software can be sent to support@platepermit.com.
